LAFVA Screenings

During 2005 LAFVA films received both national and international exposure, through gallery, festival, broadcast and public screenings.
Below are a selection of screenings and exhibitions from the past year:

Kutlug Ataman’s 40 Screen installation ‘Kuba’ was installed at the Old Sorting Office, London in March before a world tour which encompassed Pittsburgh, Stuttgart, Sydney and Vienna. For further information see: www.kuba.org.uk

There are already several LAFVA screenings planned for 2006, including:

The film has been selected to World Premier at the 35th International Rotterdam Film Festival, which runs from 25 January to 5 February 2006. The film will also be broadcast on Channel 4 in 2006. - No Place by Sarah Miles

Screening at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, the 35th International Rotterdam Film
Festival, Les Inattendus, Lyon, France and the Halloween Short Film Festival, London - Rear Projection by Mark Lewis
This film installation will be showing at UK and international venues including; FACT (Liverpool) 31 March – 28 May 2006, bfi (London), Spike Island (Bristol) and Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporaneo (Seville) - Loneliness and the Modern Pentathlon by Daria Martin
UK premier screening at Tate Modern on 2 April, followed by a concert by the film's composer, Zeena Parkins, in the Turbine Hall - 33x Around the Sun by John Hardwick
Screening at the Brussels International Festival of Fantasy, Thriller & Science-Fiction Films and also at the University Of Exeter
