Advisory Sessions
Date posted: 27.12.2007
Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN) is inviting artists to apply to take part in a programme of free developmental one to one advice sessions, the focus for which will be decided by the artists themselves.
The scheme will offer 6 successful applicants a programme of 3-4 bespoke advice sessions over a three month period. Sessions will range from one hour to half a day and may take place, depending on the topic, at the Film London offices, artists’ studios or at a facilities house. On selection each successful applicant will meet with Film London to fine tune their bespoke programme of advice.
Artists are required to identify areas that they feel would help them to develop their career and practice, which could include specific areas relevant to pre-production, production, post production, distribution or exhibition.
Applicants will be assessed and selected according to who will benefit most from having access to specific advice. The scheme is open to London based artists at all stages of their careers, but not to students. As FLAMIN's remit is specifically to support visual artists working in moving image it is also not possible to provide developmental support towards individuals’ careers in film, television or other aspects of the audio visual industry.
The deadline for applications is Tuesday 22 January and sessions will be scheduled for February - April 2008.
More information, including details of how to apply, can be found in the Advisory Sessions section.
