The 17th annual animate! tv scheme is now open for submissions and looking for original proposals from artists who have worked in film, video & digital media, established animators and emergent talent, who’s ideas challenge the boundaries of animation.

animate tv! is looking for projects with production budgets between £5,000 and £20,000, and up to six minutes in length. Collaborations with other artists, photographers, illustrators, writers, composers and sound designers are encouraged.

The individual works will receive premieres on Channel 4 in autumn 2008 within an animate! tv compilation programme, and then enjoy a long and highly visible international profile.

Submissions for this years’ scheme must be postmarked no later than Friday 27 April 2007.
