Marine Hugonnier

Max Wigram Gallery will present a solo presentation of works by LAFVA 2007 awardee Marine Hugonnier at Artissima International Fair of Contemoprary Art in Turin, (9 – 12 November).
Artissima will coincide with the current exhibition of Hugonnier's Trilogy at the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, where it is showing alongside Douglas Gordon and Phillippe Parreno's Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait.
At Artissima, the gallery is presenting film works including Ariana, The Last Tour and Hugonnier’s latest film Travelling Amazonia, Mountain with No Name.
Photographs from the Ariana project, a Restoration painting and the light and photo piece Le Val de Sans Retour and a new installation of works on paper based on a poem by Mallarme entitled L’Espace Social will also be included.
As well as the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo show, Hugonnier currently has a major solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle Bern in Switzerland. In 2007, she has had solo exhibitions at the SMAK in Ghent, Belgium and at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She was also chosen to participate in Robert Storr’s Think With Senses, Feel With Mind: Art in the Present Tense at this year’s 52nd International Venice Biennale. Upcoming shows include a solo exhibition at MAMCO in Geneva in early 2008.
