Clio Barnard Screening
Date posted: 13.12.2010
On Saturday 8 January (9pm), BAFTA will host 'Clio Barnard: Before The Arbor', a special screening showcasing work by the FLAMIN-supported artist.
The event will bring together a collection of short form works by Barnard, including her FLAMIN-supported work Road Race, which was produced through the 2003 LAFVA scheme. The programme will also include: Dark Glass (2006); Hermaphrodite Bikini (1995); and Random Acts of Intimacy (1998).
Clio Barnard's debut feature length work, The Arbor received major awards at this year's British Independent Film Awards and the BFI London Film Festival. Over the course of the last 15 years, Barnard has been establishing herself through shorter work as a film-maker whose work is concerned with the relationship between fictional film language and documentary.
