FLAMIN Productions Shortlist 2010

FLAMIN are delighted to announce the FLAMIN Productions Shortlist 2010. Projects by 11 artist film-makers have secured FLAMIN Productions Development Awards which includes funding and bespoke mentoring.
The shortlisted projects are: Brad Butler and Karen Mirza - Direct Speech Acts; on language as violence; Shezad Dawood - The Melancholy Departure of Representative 7669; Laura Gannon - her grace o'malice; Hilary Koob-Sassen - Trans-scalar Investment Vehicles; Ursula Mayer - GONDA; Laure Prouvost - The Wanderer; Grace Schwindt - My Grandparents' Tenant; Jennet Thomas - SCHOOL OF CHANGE; Eileen Simpson and Ben White - Auditory Learning (working title); Emily Wardill - Fulll Firearms; and Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa - A Film About Houses and Death.
Following the professional development programme, up to five of these projects will be selected for production, receiving financial support of up to £50,000 each to turn the concepts into realities.
The 11 projects were selected by Film London and FLAMIN representatives in close collaboration with external industry assessors: Ian White, Adjunct Film Curator at the Whitechapel Gallery; Josephine Lanyon, curator and consultant and artist Elizabeth Price.
