FLAMIN is delighted to announce the launch of Urban Visionaries, a new three-part public screening programme presented as part of Art on the Underground's Canary Wharf Screen.
Featuring works by some of the most exciting artists working in moving image, Urban Visionaries brings together a diverse collection of works commissioned by FLAMIN over the last 13 years to celebrate the rich vibrancy of artists' practice in the capital.
Including work by Ben Rivers, Michael Landy, Lindsay Seers and Turner Prize winners Laure Prouvost and Gillian Wearing, the extensive three part programme will be screened daily at Canary Wharf Screen from 17 January until 13 April.
The Committee a new FLAMIN-commissioned Random Acts film by Karen Mirza and Brad Butler will be broadcast on Channel 4 on Wednesday 15 January and subsequently available to view online via the Random Acts website.
The Committee is one of four new films commissioned for Random Acts by artists shortlisted for the 2012 Film London Jarman Award.
Assembly: Regeneration I & II
The latest screenings in Tate Britain's Assembly series take place on 12 and 13 January with a two part programme featuring a number of FLAMIN-commisioned films.
Regeneration I will present Kirchner and Panos' FLAMIN Productions-commissioned work The Empty Plan, while Regeneration II will feature Redmond Entwistle's FLAMIN-funded work Monuments alongside works by Beatrice Gibson and Elizabeth Price.
Submissions are now open for publication in Filmarmalade's annual artists' film and video DVD series.
Artist film-makers are invited to apply by 1 April to be considered for publication and have their work screened at IMT Gallery in 2015.
