Rotterdam International Film Festival
Sebastian Buerkner's FLAMIN Productions-supported work, The Chimera of M, lines up alongside a host of films by FLAMIN alumni at this year's International Rotterdam Film Festival (22 Jan - 2 Feb).
Buerkner's latest film, an ambitious and beautiful stereoscopic 3D animation, takes viewers on a sensory journey through an ambivalent multi-layered universe of colour.
The Chimera of M is one of 24 selected for the Tiger Awards Short Film Competition, the winners of which will be announced on Sunday evening.
Urban Visionaries: Random Acts
The first part of Urban Visionaries, FLAMIN's new three-part public screening programme is currently showing as part of Art on the Underground's Canary Wharf Screen, until 12 February.
Part one of the programme brings together a selection of works commissioned by FLAMIN for Channel 4's Random Acts strand and includes films by Ben Rivers, Michael Landy, Lindsay Seers and Gillian Wearing.
Testing Ground: Artists' Talks
The Zabludowicz Collection will host a series of evening artist lectures by FLAMIN alumni as part of its upcoming Testing Ground Master Class programme.
The public lectures, which take place from 30 January until 4 February, will include talks by FLAMIN-supported artists Marcus Coates, Lindsay Seers and Ben Rivers.
