The Jarman Award Tour 2011

Alongside the extended shortlist for the 2011 Jarman Award, this year's event will also see an extensive touring programme showcasing work by the selected artists.
A record 12 events will be taking place at arts spaces and cinemas across the UK throughout September. Taking in a total of eight major cities, this year's tour will present an extensive programme of work by the ten artists shortlisted for this year's Jarman Award: Ed Atkins; Clio Barnard; Claire Hooper; Anja Kirschner & David Panos; Hilary Koob-Sassen; Torsten Lauschmann; Elizabeth Price; Laure Prouvost; Imogen Stidworthy; and Corin Sworn.
Several events will feature talks by the shortlisted artists. As in previous years, the tour will culminate with an expanded day of talks and screenings at London's Whitechapel Gallery on Saturday 1 October.

A drop-in day of screenings and talks presenting and celebrating innovative UK artist film-makers.
Works by all the 10 artists shortlisted for the Jarman Award 2011 will screen in the Whitechapel Auditorium including The Empty Plan (Anja Kirschner & David Panos, 2010) The Arbor (Clio Barnard, 2010) Aiode (Claire Hooper, 2011) A Primer for Cadavers, (Ed Atkins, 2011), The Tent (Elizabeth Price, 2010), After School Special (Corin Sworn, 2009) and recent works by Imogen Stidworthy, Hilary Koob-Sassen and Laure Prouvost.
The gallery will also host talks from artists including Elizabeth Price, Clio Barnard, Anja Kirschner & David Panos, and Corin Sworn, and a presentation of Digital Clock (Growing Zeros) by Torsten Lauschman.
